Kenneth Stacy Obituary

Kenneth James Stacy, age 87, of Blacklick, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Mount Carmel East in Columbus, Ohio. He was born September 2, 1937 to Hillard and Nannie (Johnson) Stacy in Panther, WV, 3rd in line in a family of twelve. He married the love of his life, Wanda (Hatfield), on October 31, 1956. He drove a logging truck for a lumber company before moving to Columbus, OH in 1961. He then worked at Lennox Industries as an inspector until retiring. He also had secondary jobs as an auto mechanic. Ken loved his family more than anything and we all share many fond memories of our special times spent together in New Port Richey, FL, Oakdale, CA and Milton, CA. “Grandpa” loved his granddaughters more than anything, and always had to play jokes on them even if it meant tricking them with buttermilk instead of regular milk at dinner. Long termed “the safety man” he always made sure his girls were safe.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Wanda, of 67 years; son, Kenton Stacy (Javier Lara) of Palm Springs, CA; daughter Pamela (Robert) Merion of Gahanna, OH; granddaughters Jordan (Johnathan) Rawlins of Millersport, OH and Devon (Colton) Atkinson of Copperopolis, CA; great grandsons Jackson Rawlins and Weston Atkinson; great granddaughters Wrenlee Atkinson and Jentry Rawlins. He is also survived by special family & close friends Linda & Larry Bryant, siblings: Douglas, Randall, Connie, Jeff and Ricky, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who all held a very special place in his heart. Preceded in death by parents Hillard & Nannie (Johnson) Stacy and siblings: Ralph, Shirley, Athlene, Rodger, Janice and Eddie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Please contact Kenton Stacy or Pamela Merion for more details. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association https://act.alz.org/site/Donation
