Kira “Nicki” Nichole Sowers

Kira “Nicki” Nichole Sowers, 30 of Johnstown Ohio unfortunately joined her biological mother and Son in eternal Peace on April 17th 2023. She had such a beautiful soul taken too soon by sudden undiagnosed medical condition. She was a passionate mother and loved spending time with her family. Some of her favorite pastimes included playing with her stuffies, cheering on OSU football, playing video games, collecting anything depicting a piggie. Her presence brought a feeling of such love and happiness that she would light up the room. Kira was raised by her beloved parents Connie and Terry Sowers in the small rural town of Croton, Ohio. She graduated from Northridge High School 2010. Kira was pursuing a degree in social work. 

She was passionate about helping people and wanted to help troubled families overcome their obstacles in their way of success. She channeled her passion into a career as Recovery Coach with OhioGuidestone. She was honored to be given the opportunity to work with Licking County child protective services to help reunite addiction stricken families. She was a blessed guiding light for families in her care and valient inspiration to her fellow recovery coaches.

Kira fiercely adored her children, Shawna and Brandon and her angel baby Jace, as well as a loving partner of 8 years Josh Nichols. She was a giving soul with a big heart and always willing to help a person in need. She was survived by her Parents Connie and Terry siblings Larry, Terry Jr., Brian (April), and Mariah, children, Shawna and Brandon and life partner Josh Nichols. Kira was greeted in the afterlife by her biological mother Shawna, her 1st born Jace and first love Steve Johnson Jr. Kira’s Celebration of life will be held at Cotner Funeral Home 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, Ohio. On Friday,  April 21st family will receive friends and  family from 5-6 p.m. with services to follow at 6pm -7pm Family and Loved ones are welcome to  pay any additional respects until 8pm.

Saturday April 22nd graveside service will begin at 10:30 a.m at Oakdale Cemetery 1290 W. 5th Street Marysville, Ohio.
