Larry Preston Hampton

Larry Preston Hampton, age 80, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022. 

Larry was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He proudly served in the United States Army for 23 years, retiring as a Command Sergeant Major. He also retired from the State of Ohio. His life was well lived serving others.

He loved spending time with his family and was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed working on classic cars and studying military history. He was an outstanding handyman and could fix anything. He had a wonderful sense of humor that frequently made family and friends laugh.

He is survived by his brother, David Hampton, daughter, Kristin Hampton-Harmon, son-in-law, Lloyd Harmon and grandchildren, Hannah Harmon, and Preston Harmon.

His family will receive friends Monday, January 17, from 4-7 p.m. at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Dayton National Cemetery on Wednesday at 9a.m.
