Lawrence Allen Chandler II passed away in Oregon at the young age of 64. He was born February 11, 1961 to the late Lawrence Allen and Thelma Jane Chandler.
Lawrence is survived his four beautiful daughters, his grandchildren, four brothers and four sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Lawrence was a fantastic artist. He loved painting, listening to R & B music, and spending time with his dog. Lawrence’s favorite artist was Michael Jackson. He knew every song that he sang and could listen to his music all day, every day.
Lawrence knew and loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Loving on others and serving the Lord brought him the most joy. His favorite hymn was, “His Eye Is on the Sparrow.” Please take the time to allow these beautiful words to soak in and thank the Lord for all the blessings in your life.
Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heav’n and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant Friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Those that knew Lawrence are better off for having him in their lives. He will be truly missed, but we look forward to the day we will see one another again.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 3, 2025 in Pennsylvania. Please keep the family in your prayers as we say goodbye to a special man gone too soon.
