Lawrence “Larry” Edward Tierney, 63, of Reynoldsburg, passed peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, July 24, 2022. He was born on September 3, 1958 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to Jack and Elizabeth (Thomas) Tierney. Larry worked for many years at Griffin Wheel as an electrician. He was a strong provider for his family, and always made sure they were taken care of. His whole world was his grandkids and he loved to hear them call him “Pepaw” as they ran into his arms. Known by many as “Mr. Fix it,” he was always the type of person who helped anyone who needed it. Larry was always making people laugh whether it be from his animal noises, funny sayings or silly songs he would sing, while he lived life on cheese wiz and velveeta. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father Jack Tierney and brother Timothy Tierney. Larry is survived by wife Susan (Pion) Tierney; mother Elizabeth (Thomas) Tierney; daughters Nicole (Trevor) McGarity, Melissa (Charlie) Nutter Brockman, and Michelle Nutter; grandchildren Jordan, Savannah, Colsen, Connor, Mia, Branden, Lana, and Trevor; siblings Gregory (Debbie) Tierney, Keith (Linda) Tierney, Mary Beth (Larry) Brost, and Rick (Michelle) Tierney; many nieces and nephews including Morgan, Craig, and Marissa Tierney; many extended family and friends. His family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, from 3-6pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his funeral service will follow at 6pm.
