Leighton Omar Sellars

Leighton Omar Sellars, 47 years old, sadly passed away on July 21, 2024 after suffering a brief illness on June 28, 2024.

Leighton was born to Donette Hudson and Selvin Sellars on February 17, 1977. He is survived by mother Donnet, father Selvin; wife Alecia Brown Sellars; three daughters, Tajia, Raje, Skyler; stepchildren, Tyrese, Mundell, Abu and Jahdari; brothers, Wayne Sellars (Pops) Terrence, Ledlie, Andrew, and Duane; sisters, Michelle (Megan), Ingrid, and Kesing; aunts, Lorna, Juliet, and Gecy; uncles Rushick, Wilton, Rudy, and Grant; niece Ashley, nephew Jordon; cousins Travis, Anthony, Neil, Wade, Jordan, Taj, Junior, Jamal, Nicole, Sweelen, Marie, Sherice, Koen, Kisanya, Theisha_ann, Kaygen and a host of other relatives and friends.

Leighton was currently employed with United Producers, Inc. as an accountant. He was a fun-loving, caring and energetic person. His sincere and warm personality made him a beacon of life to everyone that he met.

His family will receive friends Saturday, August 24, 2024 between 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with his service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow his service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43213.

A family reception will be held at the Apex Events Venue, 1381 South Hamilton Road, Columbus, Ohio 43227.

An amazing husband, father, brother and friend. Sleep in peace my husband and best friend. Leighton will be deeply and sincerely missed.
