Lewis C. Criner, 85, of Pataskala, passed away surrounded by his children on December 21, 2025. He was born on July 30, 1940 in West Virginia to Lewis and Frances (Bonecutter) Criner. He loved fast cars and baseball. Lewis was known as a coach and a friend. He was a longtime owner of CAS Rebuilders and knew more about cars than most. He loved all sports, especially when he got to watch OSU and the Cleveland Browns. He loved his sweets and little candies that he would share with family. Family was his heart. Lewis loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and will be missed by each of them. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia Criner; son Bill Criner; and his parents. Lewis leaves behind his children Tina (Jon) Ream, Levenia (Dennis) Shonebarger, Richard (Karen) Criner, and Cherie (Mac) Lindsay; grandchildren Jason (Sherry), Jacob (Jaci), Ashley (Jesse), Emily (Cameron), and Michaela (CJ); Seven Great-Grandchildren; close friend Karen Swearingen; cousin who was like a sister Connie Curnutt and her husband Bill; many more extended family and a host of friends. His family will be having private services under the care of Cotner Funeral Home.
