Lillian V. Alford, 89, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021 in Aliquippa, PA. She was born on April 10, 1932 in Colliersville, Tennessee to the late John William and Florence May (Mills) Futhey. Lillian raised her family of two sons and two daughters in Central Ohio. Preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Donald Alford; her eldest son, Donald Alford Jr.; her second grandson, John Sawinski; and her twin brother, William Herman Futhey.
Lillian is survived by her daughters; Sherry (Mike) Holcombe and Debbie (Joe) Sawinski; her youngest son, William (Linda) Alford and her six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Lillian is also survived by two brothers; Gene Futhey and John (Judy) Futhey; a sister, Jackie Wilson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Above all, she was a caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. She touched many lives with her generous spirit and charity. In lieu of flowers or donations, do as Lillian would do, be nice to someone today and tell them you love them.
A graveside service for Lillian will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021 at Glen Rest Memorial Estates, 8029 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH, with her nephew, Pastor Steve Smith officiating.
