Linda Gail Acquista

Linda Gail Acquista, aged 82, passed away on September 22, 2024, in Columbus, OH. Born on May 15, 1942, Linda was known for her kind, generous, and loving nature. She was a compassionate and protective mother, deeply cherished by her family.

Linda graduated from Albertville High School and soon embarked on a varied career path. Initially, she worked as a nurse, then in savings and loans starting in 1963. After marrying Anthony "Tony" Acquista, Linda joined him in the real estate business, later transitioning to property management after his passing in 1984.

Throughout her life, Linda pursued her passions with vigor. She was an accomplished seamstress, able to create anything from wedding dresses to daily wear with the help of a pattern. Her love for art and painting was profound, and she enjoyed playing golf.

Linda was also a devoted member of her community of faith, attending the Catholic church during her marriage and later, the Reynoldsburg Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Sue (Greg) Acquista Carfagna, Chris (Natalie Ruth) J Acquista, and Marie Elana Acquista; grandchildren, Kyle (Mikala fiancé) Gregory Carfagna, Kelsey (Trevor fiancé) Marie Carfagna, Gabriel Charles Acquista, Taylor Joseph Acquista, and Madison Elizabeth Acquista; and great-grandchildren, Elijah Kyle Carfagna, and Eleanor Marie Carfagna. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony "Tony" Charles Acquista; her parents, William Floyd Harper and Cornelia Mae Pearce; her brother, Roger Neal Harper; sister, Myra JoAnn Harper and her uncle, William Clell and aunt, Mary Harper.

Friends may call on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Cotner Funeral, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH where her funeral service will be held at 1:00pm with Pastor Keith Hurt officiating. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estates.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's memory to the Alzheimer's Dementia Foundation, honoring her battle with dementia. Linda's legacy of love, strength, and kindness will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
