Linda Tuttle Obituary

Linda Ann Tuttle (nee Nguyen Thi Bach Yen) was born December 27, 1949 in Hai Phong, Vietnam, and passed away in Columbus, Ohio on August 20, 2025 at the age of 75 years old. She was the eldest of 11 children born to Nguyen Hưu Bich (Charles) and Nguyen Thi Thien Huong (Nancy). She married Allen L. Tuttle in Saigon, Vietnam in 1971 and naturalized as a United States citizen in 1973. Linda was employed with the U.S. Department of the Navy from 1986-1989 and spent the remainder of her career with the U.S. Department of Finance and Accounting from 1989-2025. During this time, she furthered her education by attending evening classes at Franklin University.

Linda had many interests over the years, such as sewing, reading romance novels, traveling, collecting, flower arranging, ballroom dancing, swimming, playing BINGO, and cooking. She was active with the Refugees Resettlement Services in the mid-1980s, helping Vietnamese refugees link up with immigration resources when they moved to the Columbus area. Linda is known across the country and overseas for her famous secret recipe eggrolls, which she generously made for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. In recent years, she loved parasailing and would plan trips around this activity.

Linda is preceded in death by both of her parents (Charles and Nancy Nguyen), as well as a younger brother (Nguyen Huu Trung). She is survived by her husband of 52 years (Allen), as well as her daughters: Amanda Tuttle (Todd Bernstein), Tamara Tuttle (Chris Catherine), and Rebecca Macke (Scott), and her grandchildren: Isaac Tuttle-Catherine, Veronica Tuttle, Oliver Bernstein, Rylan Macke, and Gibson Macke. She is also survived by 9 siblings and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
