Linda Lou Wood

Linda Lou Wood went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on April 26, 2024. She was surrounded by love and worship music as she entered into Heaven. She was born on June 21, 1940 in Puritan Mines, West Virginia. Linda graduated from Lenore High School, class of 1958 in Lenore West Virginia.

Linda married John William Wood on July 21, 1966 and they were married until John went to be with The Lord on September 04, 2017.

She is survived by “one and only” daughter Heather (Bradley) Wood, her one and only granddaughter Rebekah (Alex) Iwanyckyj, and her one and only grandson Jacob (Dakota) Wood, Sisters Gladys Watson (Ron), Elsie D. Johnson, Vicki Mayle, brother Terry Lowe (Crystal) and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Linda was the 2nd oldest of the 8 children of Chester and Mae Lowe. She is preceded in death by her oldest sister, Maxine Adkins, brother in law Jim Adkins, younger brothers, Harry Lowe and George Lowe, sister in law Linda Lowe, brother in law Tim Mayle and nephew Chex Lowe.

Linda worked for Western Electric where she met John. She worked several different jobs over the years, but spent the most time being a wonderful mom to Heather.

Linda and John were involved in several different types of ministry. She helped many people. Linda loved to worship and pray for people. She enjoyed cooking, planting flowers, making their home beautiful and loving on people. If you needed a hug, prayer, a good laugh or a home cooked meal, she was always ready.

Linda will be greatly missed by many, but not more than she will be missed by her daughter and her grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Thursday evening May 2, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm and her service will be held Friday May 3, 2024 at 10am at Cotner Funeral home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
