Lynda Kay Brown, 81, of Newark, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was born on July 13, 1942 in Troy, Ohio. She was an active member of the church. In earlier years she attended Ginghamsburg Church, and in later years First Baptist Church Of Vandalia. She enjoyed serving in the church and helping others. She led a bible study and was a counselor in the church ministry. She was an avid reader, and you could always see her nose in a book. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her mother Mildred Fleigh. Lynda is survived by husband Dale Brown; sons Gregory (Sechenia) Brown and Kenneth (Anna Marie) Brown; grandchildren Jeremy, Lance, Alexa, Nathanael, and Emma; many more extended family and friends. Her family will receive friends on Friday, June 7, from 10:30am-12:30pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where her funeral service will begin at 12:30pm. Graveside service to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215.
