Obituary

Madeline Sue Schoedel, 80, of Columbus, went home to be with Jesus on August 11, 2023. She was born in Alexandria, Ohio on March 20, 1943. She retired from Western Electric after 30 years. She was the most organized woman who loved flea markets and garage sales filled with antiques. She was a tool for the Lord, always showing others His love and grace. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. As the matriarch of her family she was the center of every family event, and always gave her all to make things perfect for her daughters and extended family. The heart and soul she was in her family, will truly be missed and never forgotten. She is preceded in death by her parents Hiram and Phyllis (Arnett) Mowrey; siblings Eugene Mowrey, Donald Mowrey, Lois Fawn Redman, Irene Miller, Evelyn Stephens, and Jayne Stephens. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 53 years Raymond Schoedel; devoted daughters Tammy Schoedel and Roxanne (Kevin) Ostberg; sister Nancy Ginn; her in-laws, Raymond’s Family; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Her family will receive friends to celebrate her life from 6-8pm on Thursday, August 17, at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. This is an event of joy to celebrate her life and her homecoming with the Lord.
