Marjorie "Marge" Louise Gibson

Marjorie “Marge” Louise Gibson, 87 of Lancaster, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the Pickering House. Marge was born August 13, 1936, in Lancaster, OH to the late William and Magdalene Abel. She was dearly loved by everybody that met her. Marge will be missed by anybody that experienced her warm embrace, loving smile, a prayer, or a song from her. Through the years literally thousands of people were impacted by her faith and love for Jesus.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert S. Gibson; brother Freddie Abel; Brothers-in-law, David Gibson, Ronald Gibson, and John Gibson; Sisters-in-law, Gladys Abel and Janie Chapman; son-in-law Dave Boso and favorite furry friends Thomas and BooBoo.

She is survived by her children, Steve (Angela “Tina”) Gibson, Sandy (Dave) Crisp, and Scott (Melissa) Gibson; brothers, Frank Abel, Dale (Cindy) Abel, Neil (Patti) Abel; grandchildren, Shannon, Shawn, Chaz, Amie, Dakota, Brandon, CJ, Makayla, Lane, Arionne, Analily and Judah and 13 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathy (Harry) Benson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  

The family would like to express their gratitude to Fairhope Hospice of Lancaster for the wonderful care and love they showed Marge and the family during her stay there.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 5:00pm-6:00pm with fellowship from 4:30p.m.-5 p.m. at The Bridge Ministries 115 W. Fifth Ave., Lancaster, OH 43130 with Pastor Scott Gibson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to The Bridge Ministries 115 W.
