Martha Ann O'Dell

Martha Ann O'Dell, 101, of Reynoldsburg, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, June 12, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 28, 1923 in Fairview, West Virginia to the late Howard and Rebecca (Shiver) Darrah. Martha married the love of her life Charles D. O’Dell on May 23, 1948.

After high school Martha attended Business College. She was the secretary of Bethlehem Steel until 1954, when she started the best job as a MOM!! Martha loved being a Mother, but becoming a Grandma, AKA, "Nanny" was even better.

She enjoyed camping, boating, and playing with the horses but her favorite moments were spent just hanging out with the ones she loved the most, her Family. She also worked for the preschool at the Church of Christ because children were her pride and joy. Martha retired from JC Penney distribution in 1987.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie (Steve Elder) Wogan and Chon (Bill) Kimbler; eight grandchildren, Chase (Kristy) Meyer, Amy (Matt) Callicoat, Ryan (Paul) LettBrown, Maxx (Asia) Kimbler, Coleton (Vickie) Wirth, Jamie (Keith) Kettle, Paige (Billy) Freville and Kristin (Cody Knotts) Wirth; along with 13 great-grandchildren, Brock Callicoat, Averi (Jaden) Rowland, Jocelyn Meyer, Brenden LettBrown, Bella Kimbler, Dylan Meyer, Reagen LettBrown, William Freville, Levi Kettle, Paisley Freville, Logan Kettle, Finn Kettle and Rainn Kimbler and great, great-granddaughter Kinley Rowland.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, daughter Janet Wirth and son Ron O’Dell.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 17, from 10am-Noon at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with her funeral service to begin at Noon Pastor Luke Weekly officiating. Graveside service to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
