Talk about destiny, Mary Lou met the eventual love of her life when both were just toddlers. When they were 13, love birds Jack and Mary Lou began dating. It was a relationship that lasted a lifetime.

Along the way Mary Lou became a proud graduate of Columbus North High School, the queen of Jobs Daughters and took on her first job at Columbia Gas. Eventually she found her way to the Kroger Company where she worked as an executive assistant and in customer service for the next 40 years. She also became the face and voice of Kroger's coupon club called Topy's. Her beautiful face and smile was plastered on billboards all over Columbus along with a weekly stint on the radio. For 41 straight years she worked in the finance office during the Ohio State Fair. The streak ended when the fair was canceled this year due to the pandemic.

Mary Lou's second love was her church. She was a member of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church for 60 years, holding numerous volunteer positions. She also helped organize and run political campaigns for candidates and causes, plus took a leadership role in many civic organizations, making countless lifelong friends along the way.
