Mary "Midge" (Stamper) Kanalas

Mary “Midge” Kanalas, 69, passed away peacefully at her home on May 31, 2022. Midge was born on September 5, 1952 in Warren, OH to the late Hugh, Sr. and Berniece (Polaski) Stamper. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Stamper and sister, Kathy Belcher.

Midge is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Stephen Kanalas; son, Christopher (Lee Ann) Kanalas; daughter, Jessica Kanalas; grandchildren, Greyson, Alexa and Silas Kanalas; sisters, Sr. Janeta Stamper and Carol Millard; brother, Hugh Stamper, Jr.

Spending forty plus years as a Veterinarian Technician, Midge’s empathetic and selfless heart of service extended far beyond her family. She will be remembered for her love of Cleveland sports and tequila.

Midge’s family will receive friends on Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5 to 7PM at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH., where her funeral service will be held at 7:00PM with Fr. Leo Connolly officiating. Inurnment service to follow privately at a later date.
