Mary Ellen Praither

Mary Ellen (Rife) Praither, age 90, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2025. She was born on September 4, 1934 in Charleston, WV to the late Wilmer Jackson Rife and Myrtle Marie (Cunningham) Rife. She was a 1953 graduate of Mifflin High School, Columbus, OH. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, David J. Praither.

Mary Ellen leaves behind five children, Donna (Greg) Watson, Janice (Bill) Mueller, David J. (Shelle) Praither II, Vickie Nelson and Jill Daniels, nineteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation hours will be on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 5 to 7:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH, where her funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 1:00pm with Reverend Joseph Duvall officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Mifflin Cemetery, Gahanna, OH.
