Obituary
Michael Dean Merchant, age 57, of Cincinnati, the extremely talented man with a big heart, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He was a graduate of Pickerington High School class of 1983. Michael was a tremendous piano player. He was also a creative metal worker creating many sculptures for family and friends. He was a retired pipefitter from local union 189. He is preceded in death by his brother Daniel Lee Merchant. Michael is survived by his parents Jerry Dean and Susan Lee Merchant; sister Dianne Lynn Boyd (John Thomas); children Abrigail Merchant and Anthony Michael Merchant; nephews Craig Boyd and Justyn Merchant. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 11-1 at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where his service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment Pataskala Cemetery.
