Michelle A. Wright

Michelle Stamos Wright passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in Lorain, Michelle cherished the community where she grew up and where she married her high school sweetheart, James Stamos, who preceded her in death on March 30, 1992.

Michelle was a proud graduate of Admiral King High School. Determined and compassionate, she later attended nursing school and graduated in 1993 on the Dean's List. Nursing was more than a career to Michelle it was her calling. She loved caring for others.

A few years later she met her husband of 23 years, Barry Wright, whom she loved and adored and spent years of happiness with.  When she retired in 2012, she became very involved in the American Legion Post 430 where her husband was Commander for many many years . Everywhere Michelle went she made friends and her smile lit up the room.  To know her was to love her. She was a wonderful mom, wife and nana and did anything for her family.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, James Stamos in 1992, her father, Michael Kraly in 1998, her mother, Mary Jane Kraly in 2008 and her brother, Martin Kraly in 2022.

She is survived by her husband, Barry Wright; her daughters, Nicole Stamos of Lorain, Holly Stamos of Columbus, step-daughter Kellie (Steve) Herbst of Fredericktown, Ohio; sister, Marci (Jeff) Hilko of Lorain; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kraly of Dublin, Ohio; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren all of whom brought immense joy to her life along with many nieces and nephews.

Michelle's family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 5 to 7:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH, where her funeral service will be held at 7:00pm with Pastor Karen Brantley officiating. A private interment will be held with family members only in attendance.
