Nicholas‌ ‌Ray‌ ‌Crawford,‌ ‌33,‌ ‌of‌ ‌Obetz,‌ ‌passed‌ ‌away‌ ‌Friday,‌ ‌November‌ ‌19,‌ ‌2021‌ ‌surrounded‌ ‌by‌ ‌his‌ ‌family.‌ ‌Nick‌ ‌was‌ ‌born‌ ‌with‌ ‌a‌ ‌congenital‌ ‌heart‌ ‌defect‌ ‌but‌ ‌he‌ ‌never‌ ‌let‌ ‌that‌ ‌slow‌ ‌him‌ ‌down‌ ‌or‌ ‌keep‌ ‌him‌ ‌from‌ ‌living‌ ‌his‌ ‌life.‌ ‌In‌ ‌fact,‌ ‌that‌ ‌heart‌ ‌of‌ ‌his‌ ‌grew‌ ‌so‌ ‌large‌ ‌that‌ ‌there‌ ‌was‌ ‌always‌ ‌room‌ ‌for‌ ‌anyone‌ ‌that‌ ‌needed‌ ‌him.‌ ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌truly‌ ‌a‌ ‌family‌ ‌man‌ ‌and‌ ‌the‌ ‌best‌ ‌friend‌ ‌anyone‌ ‌could‌ ‌ask‌ ‌for.‌ ‌ ‌Nick,‌ ‌a‌ ‌lifelong‌ ‌Buckeye‌ ‌was‌ ‌born‌ ‌in‌ ‌Columbus‌ ‌to‌ ‌Shawn‌ ‌and‌ ‌Terri‌ ‌Crawford‌ ‌on‌ ‌May‌ ‌8‌th‌,‌ ‌1988.‌ ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌restricted‌ ‌from‌ ‌participating‌ ‌in‌ ‌some‌ ‌contact‌ ‌sports‌ ‌growing‌ ‌up,‌ ‌but‌ ‌was‌ ‌always‌ ‌very‌ ‌active.‌ ‌He‌ ‌loved‌ ‌to‌ ‌hunt‌ ‌and‌ ‌fish‌ ‌and‌ ‌developed‌ ‌into‌ ‌an‌ ‌avid‌ ‌outdoorsman.‌ ‌Taking‌ ‌his‌ ‌family‌ ‌out‌ ‌on‌ ‌the‌ ‌boat,‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌mountains‌ ‌in‌ ‌Tennessee‌ ‌or‌ ‌the‌ ‌shore‌ ‌at‌ ‌Myrtle‌ ‌Beach‌ ‌were‌ ‌the‌ ‌best‌ ‌of‌ ‌times.‌ ‌

 ‌Nick‌ ‌graduated‌ ‌from‌ ‌Groveport‌ ‌Madison‌ ‌High‌ ‌School‌ ‌in‌ ‌June‌ ‌2007.‌ ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌a‌ ‌gifted‌ ‌mechanic‌ ‌and‌ ‌could‌ ‌fix‌ ‌almost‌ ‌anything.‌ ‌He‌ ‌used‌ ‌those‌ ‌skills‌ ‌at‌ ‌his‌ ‌job‌ ‌at‌ ‌COTA‌ ‌where‌ ‌he‌ ‌enjoyed‌ ‌his‌ ‌work‌ ‌and‌ ‌many‌ ‌friends.‌ ‌Nick‌ ‌was‌ ‌also‌ ‌a‌ ‌board‌ ‌member‌ ‌of‌ ‌Groveport‌ ‌Youth‌ ‌Athletic‌ ‌Association.‌ ‌He‌ ‌also‌ ‌enjoyed‌ ‌coaching‌ ‌football.‌ ‌ ‌

Nick‌ ‌met‌ ‌Kasey‌ ‌while‌ ‌they‌ ‌were‌ ‌both‌ ‌at‌ ‌Fairfield‌ ‌Career‌ ‌Center‌ ‌and‌ ‌it‌ ‌was‌ ‌truly‌ ‌love‌ ‌at‌ ‌first‌ ‌sight.‌ ‌They‌ ‌graduated‌ ‌in‌ ‌June‌ ‌of‌ ‌2007‌ ‌and‌ ‌were‌ ‌married‌ ‌that‌ ‌July.‌ ‌They‌ ‌bought‌ ‌their‌ ‌own‌ ‌home,‌ ‌had‌ ‌five‌ ‌beautiful‌ ‌children‌ ‌and‌ ‌many,‌ ‌many‌ ‌happy‌ ‌memories.‌ ‌ ‌Nick‌ ‌suffered‌ ‌two‌ ‌devastating‌ ‌losses‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌last‌ ‌year‌ ‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌death‌ ‌of‌ ‌his‌ ‌father‌ ‌Shawn‌ ‌and‌ ‌his‌ ‌cousin‌ ‌Josh.‌ ‌Two‌ ‌men‌ ‌that‌ ‌meant‌ ‌so‌ ‌much‌ ‌to‌ ‌him.‌ ‌He‌ ‌was‌ ‌also‌ ‌preceded‌ ‌in‌ ‌death‌ ‌by‌ ‌his‌ ‌son‌ ‌Shane‌ ‌Ray‌ ‌Crawford,‌ ‌grandmother‌ ‌June‌ ‌Whitley,‌ ‌paternal‌ ‌grandparents‌ ‌Carl‌ ‌and‌ ‌Betty‌ ‌Crawford,‌ ‌and‌ ‌mother‌ ‌in‌ ‌law‌ ‌Becky‌ ‌Sue‌ ‌Mays.‌ ‌ ‌

 ‌He‌ ‌is‌ ‌survived‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌loves‌ ‌of‌ ‌his‌ ‌life,‌ ‌wife‌ ‌Kasey,‌ ‌daughters‌ ‌Bridget‌ ‌and‌ ‌Amanda,‌ ‌sons‌ ‌Logan‌ ‌and‌ ‌Brantley,‌ ‌mother‌ ‌Terri‌ ‌Crawford‌ ‌of‌ ‌Obetz‌ ‌Ohio,‌ ‌brother‌ ‌Hunter‌ ‌(Summer)‌ ‌Crawford‌ ‌of‌ ‌Maryland‌ ‌grandfather‌ ‌Whilbur‌ ‌Whitley‌ ‌of‌ ‌Columbus‌ ‌Oh‌ ‌father‌ ‌in‌ ‌law‌ ‌Tim‌ ‌Mays‌ ‌,‌ ‌aunts,‌ ‌uncles,‌ ‌sister‌ ‌in‌ ‌laws‌ ‌Kim‌ ‌(Scott)‌ ‌Kristin‌ ‌(Brian)‌ ‌Kari‌ ‌(Jeff)‌ ‌Heather‌ ‌(Billy)‌ ‌5‌ ‌nieces,‌ ‌8‌ ‌nephews‌ ‌many‌ ‌cousins‌ ‌and‌ ‌brothers‌ ‌he‌ ‌worked‌ ‌with‌ ‌at‌ ‌COTA.‌ ‌ ‌

 ‌Nick's‌ ‌family‌ ‌will‌ ‌receive‌ ‌friends‌ ‌4-8‌ ‌p.m.‌ ‌Saturday,‌ ‌November‌ ‌27,‌ ‌2021‌ ‌at‌ ‌Cotner‌ ‌Funeral‌ ‌Home‌ ‌7369‌ ‌East‌ ‌Main‌ ‌Street,‌ ‌Reynoldsburg‌ ‌where‌ ‌his‌ ‌funeral‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌held‌ ‌at‌ ‌6‌ ‌p.m.‌ ‌After‌ ‌the‌ ‌service‌ ‌there‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌a‌ ‌celebration‌ ‌of‌ ‌life‌ ‌at‌ ‌2311‌ ‌East‌ ‌Howard‌ ‌Rd‌ ‌Obetz‌ ‌Ohio.‌ ‌‌Please‌ ‌be‌ ‌casual‌ ‌and‌ ‌wear‌ ‌your‌ ‌camo.‌
