In Loving Memory of Pamela Elaine Moore Bell
September 9, 1955 – July 21, 2025
Pamela Elaine Moore Bell, age 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born on September 9, 1955, in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, Pam was the beloved daughter of the late Chief Master Sergeant Benjamin W. Moore and Mary E. Moore.
A proud military child, Pam had the unique opportunity to travel across the United States and Europe during her formative years, experiences that sparked her lifelong love to travel. She was a graduate of Eastmoor High School in Columbus, Ohio and went on to attend Bowling Green State University before earning her technical degree from DeVry University.
Pam possessed a remarkable talent for the arts – from drawing and painting to sewing and gardening – and she brought creativity, warmth, and color to everything she touched. Her passion and technical prowess led her to a successful 31-year career in government service, where she worked as a Database Administrator (DBA) with the Department of Defense at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) and later at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) at DSCC in Columbus, Ohio. She retired with honor, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, intelligence, and professionalism.
Pam’s journey with her husband, Edward Bell, is a testament to fate and enduring love. Their paths first crossed in high school, when Edward – then a senior- took Pam, a sophomore, to his prom. After graduation, life led them in different directions, with Pam marrying and having a daughter, Lauren, before returning to Columbus to raise her child and build her career. In 2016, Edward, now living in Florida, saw Pam’s image on his sister’s Facebook page and began reaching out, not knowing if she would remember him. After a few ignored friend requests, his fourth message simply said, “I took you to my prom.” From that moment, their reconnection blossomed into a deep and abiding love. They married on September 23, 2019, and remained devoted companions through every joy and challenge that followed.
Pam leaves behind her loving husband Edward Bell; her cherished daughter Lauren, her mother Mary Moore; her siblings Curtis Moore and Carolyn Moore; sister-in-law Charlete B. Tavares and a host of devoted cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin W. Moore, and her sister Cheryl Moore.
Pamela Elaine Bell was a woman of quiet strength, infinite creativity, and profound love. Her gentle spirit, thoughtful nature, and boundless generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with gratitude and affection.
Her family will receive loved ones on Saturday, August 9th from 3-4 PM at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 where her service which will begin at 4:00 p.m.
