Pearl Franklin Metzger, Jr.

Pearl Franklin Metzger, Jr., age 59, of Portsmouth, Ohio, loving father and grandfather, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025.

Pearl was a proud longtime baker with Kroger Bakery; he loved thrifting and fishing, and was always a jokester.

He is preceded in death by his parents Pearl Metzger, Sr. and Clotine Metzger, and also a brother Jason Metzger.

Pearl is survived by his wife Renee Metzger; children Syrina (Shawn) Johnson, Brittany (David) Dunbarr, Jacob Metzger (fiancee Jaylinn), Ciara Metzger, Levi Cline, and Jetta Cline; grandchildren Ava, Harold, Tamara, Rayanna, Timothy, Coraline, Linkoln, and Hinata; and sister Louwanna (John) Gartin.

His family will receive friends Thursday from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg with his service to follow at 1:30 p.m.  Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
