Phyllis Geraldine Gill Lumpkin

Phyllis Geraldine Gill Lumpkin, 71, of Reynoldsburg passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021. Phyllis was born on April 9, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles G. Gill and Jane (Smith) Gill. She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Richard Docken and niece, Elizabeth Docken.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 50 years, David L. Lumpkin, and her loving daughter, Julie L. Lumpkin-Darling. Dear grandmother of Olivia L. Darling and Sophia R. Darling. Sister of Shirley M. Docken. Aunt of Rick, Chuck and Andy Docken, Wendi and Mandi Chopin. Great-aunt of Nathan (Kelsey) Docken, Grace and Marie Docken, Tarik, Ethan and Kyle Chopin. Also survived by many cousins.

Phyllis’s family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 7 to 9 P.M. at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main St. Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Due to COVID19 concerns her family is requesting that visitors limit their time at the funeral home to 5 minutes of speaking and visiting with them before respectfully exiting the building. Saturday, January 16, 2021 there will be a small private service for Phyllis at Messiah Lutheran Church, with Pastor Karl Hanf officiating. The service may be viewed Saturday at 10:00 A.M. by visiting the Messiah Lutheran, Reynoldsburg, Ohio Facebook page. Private interment service will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
