Phyllis "Jean" Reed

Phyllis “Jean” Reed, 89, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2021. Jean was born on March 31, 1932 in Brooklyn, Iowa to the late Ernest and Maggie (Kline) Lane. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wiley P. Reed; sons, Patrick and Timothy Reed.

Jean is survived by her sons, Michael (Belinda) Reed, Thomas (Rochelle) Reed and Casey (Angel) Reed; daughter-in-law, Joyce Reed; grandchildren, Aaron Reed, Daniel (Elizabeth) Reed, Tiffany Reed, Jean Frances (Eric) DePonceau, Kristina Reed, Shawn (Lindsay) Reed, Bonnie Reed, Amanda (Frank) Neutzling, Jennifer (Chris) Hipp; 20 great-grandchildren.

Jean was known for her love of gardening, travelling and watching birds on her patio. Jean loved making crafts and collecting Santa figurines. In her recent years, Jean enjoyed watching her grandchildren growing up.

Jean’s family will receive friends on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:00AM at the Church of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 5225 Refugee Rd. Columbus, OH 43232 with Fr. James Coleman officiating.
