With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Randy Zepplin Hall, who left this world on February 27, 2026, at the age of 34. Randy was born on September 22, 1991, in Ashland, Kentucky. He graduated from Westland High School and South-Western Career Academy in 2010, where he studied Culinary Arts. Randy is survived by his beloved son, Benjamin Hall, who was the center of his world; his mother Cindy (Terry) Skaggs; his brother Zachary Conn; his stepsister Jennifer (Michael) Hammond; grandmothers Jenny Hall and Sue Skaggs and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Preceded in death by Joseph and Pearl Conn, Tony Hall and Roger Skaggs; grandparents as well as Kevin Hall; uncle
Randy was a devoted father, a loving son, a brother, and a cherished friend. Above all, he was a proud and dedicated single father. His love for Benjamin was unwavering—a bond marked by strength, tenderness, and deep devotion. He committed his life to giving Benjamin the best foundation possible, ensuring he had a strong education at Grove City Christian School and surrounding him with love, support, and guidance. Though Benjamin often said his daddy was his hero, Randy always believed Benjamin was his.
A gifted athlete, Randy shined brightest when he competed. He played football, wrestled, and excelled in shot put and discus. He was also an incredible cook, a talented artist who loved to draw and paint, and a man who found joy in nature—whether hiking, fishing, camping, or simply enjoying a quiet movie night with Benjamin.
The two of them shared countless moments together: playing penny hockey, checkers, and chess; working on their truck “Ebby”; taking long country drives to gaze at the stars; wishing, dreaming, and living the motto “Live, Laugh, Love” every day. Their bond was extraordinary—a partnership filled with joy, adventure, and deep mutual admiration. Those who knew Randy will remember his caring heart, quiet strength, and steadfast loyalty. He showed up for the people he loved—through laughter, support, or simply through his reassuring presence. His kindness left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Though Randy’s life was far too short, the love he shared—especially with his son—will continue to shine through Benjamin and the lives he touched. We are not ready to say goodbye, and Benjamin misses his daddy deeply, as we all do. Please keep Benjamin tucked gently in your heart.
In accordance with Randy’s wishes, he will be cremated, and there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where we hope to share
stories, memories, and the laughter Randy loved so much.
For those asking how they can help we kindly ask that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with the cremation expenses and any other expenses that may come. You may contact Cotner Funeral directly to make a donation at: 614-866-6318.
We will carry you with us always, Randy, until we see you again.
