Richard "Dick" A. Bussey

Richard "Dick" Bussey, 83, passed away on June 24, 2026, at St. Ann's Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family, after courageously battling cancer for 17 years.

Born on April 1, 1943, Dick proudly served his country as an Airman First Class radio operator during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he built a career spanning more than 42 years with Big Bear, where he retired as a warehouse manager. It was at Big Bear that he met the love of his life, Nancy Kramer, whom he married and shared 50 years of love, laughter, and devotion.

Proceeded in death by parents Charles and Juanita Bussey; son-in-law, Keith Schlosser and brother-in-law, Timothy Haynes.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Bussey; his children, Mary Beth Hickey (Duane) and Richard Bussey Jr. (Debora); his brother, Ron (Bobbie); his sister, Ann; his brother, Gary (Carolyn); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many extended family members who will miss him deeply.

In retirement, Dick found joy in caring for his cars, working in his yard, and making treasured memories traveling to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, with Nancy and their family. He was happiest when spending time with those he loved.

Dick will be remembered for his strength, unwavering dedication to his family, quiet kindness, and resilient spirit. His love touched countless lives, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He has been, and always will be, deeply loved and forever missed.

Dick's family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 10:00am to 12 Noon at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH, where his funeral service will be held at 12 Noon. Interment to folow at Pataskla Cemetery.
