Rio Romero Chester

With profound sorrow and endless love, we announce the passing of our precious son, Rio Romero Chester, who was with us for 46 beautiful days. Though his time on this earth was brief, his life was filled with a depth of love that will last forever.

From the moment Rio entered our world, he brought light, hope, and a love so pure it changed us forever.

Rio was cherished beyond words by his loving parents, Deja Simone Browder and Damon Anthony Chester II, and by his many loving brothers and sisters—Jorah,DaeShoun,Valyn, Ashton, Messiah, Emilio, Luna, and Ariella—who will forever hold him close in their hearts. He was surrounded by the deep love of family who dreamed of the life ahead of him.

He was also deeply loved by his grandparents, Angel Brown and Tejaun & Danielle Browder as well as Christina Chester and Damon & Dee Chester, whose hearts will forever carry his memory.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Rio is now at peace in heaven, held in eternal love, and reunited with his big brother, watching over us together.

Every moment we held him, every breath he took, and every quiet glance he gave will remain etched in their hearts forever.

Though we did not get the time we longed for, we are grateful for every second we were given. He will always be our son, our love, and one of our greatest gift.

He leaves behind a family who will carry his memory forward in everything they do. His life, though short, will forever be a part of our story.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, where his service will follow at 4:00 p.m. 

We will hold him in our hearts until we meet again.
