Rita Anna Massaro

Rita Anna Massaro, age 88, formerly from South Philadelphia, PA passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Johnstown Pointe nursing home. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Caroline Anna (Mauro) Massaro.

Rita worked over 20 years at National Publishing Co, Philadelphia until retiring in 1995, when
she moved with her daughter and family to Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She also was a member of St. Pius X Church in Reynoldsburg. She loved doing cross stitching and crocheting.

Surviving are 2 children: son, Frank G. Hollywood, Jr. of Blacklick, OH and daughter, Anna "Rita" (Hollywood) McAleer (John) of Reynoldsburg, OH and one granddaughter Jessica J. (McAleer) Altman (Stephen); and one great-granddaughter Marlowe Daisy Altman of Granville, OH.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Johnstown Pointe and a special thank you to National Church Residences Hospice for taking care of her for 2 ½ years out of 3 years with her cancer.

Rita’s family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2021 at Cotner Funeral Home 7369 East Main St.  Reynoldsburg, where her memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Etna Ohio.
