Robert Loyd King, Sr.

Robert Loyd King, Sr. 52 went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ the Lord on January 25, 2025 with his roommate Chrissy by his side.

Robert was born May 23, 1972 in Columbus, Ohio to Mitzie King and Robert Loyd Edward. Robert has always been a very happy, loving, supportive, outgoing person. He enjoyed dancing, listening to rap music and even made a few videos of him rapping for fun. He was an author that created a children's book that included his daughter Anaiah’s artwork. The book is titled “Hi Kids I am The Grizzly Greasliar” He graduated from the Ohio Media School in Whitehall, Ohio and CDL School which enabled him to work for the Columbus Public School district as a bus driver for 19 years. He was a manager at all Church’s Chicken and delivered meals to community recreation centers in his big yellow bus during the summer. He worshiped his Savior Jesus Christ at a previous community church owned by his friend Mrs. Rhonda Scott’s parents. He would faithfully take his mom Mitzie and daughter Anaiah to Sunday morning service.

He is preceded in death by his mother Mitzie King; sisters Felicia Farrow and Eleanor King Ratleff and son Deandre Bass. He is survived by his father Robert Loyd Edward, children Robert Loyd (Paige) King, Jr., Anaiah S. King; siblings Chena L. King, Eric G. King, Nicole Edward, Dana Hodges; grandchildren Garrison and Kenzo King and many other family and friends. His family would like to acknowledge the staff members of the Davita Dialysis Center, the OSU Wexner Medical Hospital and Mount Carmel Saint Ann’s Hospital and his loving and supportive roommate Chrissy Nutter.

Robert's family will receive friends on Saturday, February 8th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
