Robert Clarence Jackson Lester

A great celebration has begun in heaven this week as 94 year old World War 2 Navy Veteran Robert C. "Jack"  Lester passed away Monday, July 19, 2021. Robert was a hardworking man who took pride in supporting his family. He loved ice cream, the casinos, country music, and kids always made him smile. Her retired from General Motors (GM). Robert is preceded in death by parents Robert C. and Bertha Mae (Crawford) Lester; siblings Kella Lester, Bill Lester, Jean Webb, Donna Ludwig, Lucy Styer, Kate Hack, Betty Belgarde, Pauline “Polly” Bane, Dorothy Ball, and Beulah Austin; wife of 51 years Gilda (Brown) Lester; wife of 15 years Joyce (Meyers) Lester; sons Dannie D. Lester and Robert E. Lester; grandson Anthony “Tony” Lester; and many great friends. He will be greatly missed by surviving family members son Steven Lester; grandchildren Tami Lester, Matt (Mary) Lester, Jennifer (Pat) Orr, Jason Lester, and Michelle Jones Hunt; great-grandchildren Patrick, Jordan, Jada, Brittany, Justin, Berkeley; great-great grandchild Mila; many more extended family and friends. Robert’s graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, at 2pm at Glen Rest Memorial Estates, 8029 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
