Robert "Bob" Prather

Robert “Bob” Prather, 85, of Gahanna, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born on February 18, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to Houston and Hannah Prather. Bob worked for many years as a driver for Roadway Express. He loved boating and traveling. He also loved his dogs. Most of all, he loved and enjoyed time with his family. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, grand-daughter Sidney Hatfield-Heiden and his close friend Harold Rumbaugh. He is survived by loving wife of 45 years, Barbara Prather; children Mark (Becky) Hartsook, Steve (Tammy) Hartsook, Sean (Laurie) Prather, Kerry (Mike) Messer, Jackie (Tommy) Hatfield, and Rob (Cara) Prather; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31, from 10am-Noon at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, with his funeral service to begin at Noon. Graveside service to follow at Mifflin Township Cemetery, Gahanna, Ohio.
