It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Roger L. Burns, who passed away on June 29, 2026, in Westerville, Ohio, at the age of 71.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, Roger lived a life centered on family, loyalty, and quiet strength, touching the lives of all who knew him with his kindness and laughter.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight Sr. and Mary Burns; his parents-in-law, Henry and Sylvia Klott; his brother, Dwight Burns Jr. (Melody); his sister, Rose Watson; his son, Michael Burns; and his sister-in-law, Sharon Klott.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Pame Burns; his son, Todd (Amy) Burns; and his daughter, Chrissy Burns. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Taylor Campbell (Leslie) and Casey Burns (Nathan McGrath), who brought him immense joy and pride. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Fred Watson and nephews, Michael Watson and Christopher (Lauren) Watson, along with many dear friends who will cherish his memory.
Roger will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his gentle spirit, and the many memories he created with those he loved. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy of love, resilience, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A private family service will be held to celebrate Roger’s life and honor his memory.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support received during this difficult time. A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Ann’s Hospital for the amazing care given to both Roger and his family while he was in the hospital. Roger will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
