Ron Pavlov, age 77, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Ohio Health Pickerington Methodist Hospital on October 26th, 2024. He was born in Sturgis, Michigan on July 29, 1947, and grew up in Barberton, OH. He graduated from Barberton High School in 1965 and from the University of Akron in 1976. He served in the United States Navy from 1968-1972. After a first career of managing various retail outlets, he retired from Reynoldsburg City Schools after working there for twenty years.
He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and lover of sports cars, having owned and maintained several throughout his life. He was married to the love of his life, Judy (Durbin) Pavlov for forty-two years.
He is survived by his loving wife Judy and their children, Ronnie (Jasmine) Pavlov and Alison (Matt) Latimer; his sister, Helen Blondheim; his grandson, Avery Pavlov and his little Buddy (chihuahua) as well as and many nieces/nephews and families.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Viola Pavlov; sisters, Marian Dolbow, Zora Jennings, and Sophie Lesniak and his brother. George Pavlov.
Ron's family will receive friends on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5 to 7:00pm with words of reflection, stories and remarks being shared at 6:30pm.
