Sandra Lee Cowgill

Sandra Lee Cowgill, 77, of Apple Valley (Howard), walked through the open door into heaven peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 surrounded by her amazing family. She was born on April 8, 1947 in Cicero, Illinois to Richard and Phyllis (Kukowski) Lech. Sandra was a devoted Catholic, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Sandra’s late husband, Michael, made sure that all of her dreams did come true. She was an avid gardener, she absolutely loved music and learning how to play the piano and the guitar, spending time on the family pontoon boat while getting kissed by the sun, reading books, relaxing at the beach and collecting her, “Gone with the Wind” memorabilia. Our entire family is so thankful for the love and the many prayers during the last three months while she was missing the love of her life, Mike.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 58 years, Michael Cowgill, Sr.; brothers Richard Lech, Jr and Ronald Lech; and great grandson, Levi David Olney. She is survived by her sister Vicky (Chuck) Smith; her children Mike (Julie) Cowgill, Jr., Lori (John) Ogden, Tina (Myron) Ingram, and Kevin (Dawn) Cowgill; grandchildren Cody and Courtney Cowgill, Tiffany (Josh) Stempko, Justin (Nina) Ogden, Adam (Hunter) Ogden, Alessandra (William) White, Amanda (Chris) Olney, Jessica (Jason) Kienbaum, and Kelly (Jake) Wickline; great-grandchildren Elora, Asher, Arden, Salome, Gideon, Kennedy, Emory, Berkley and two on the way; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Her family will receive friends on Monday, November 18, from 7-9pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, November 19, at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 600 Hill Road North, Pickerington, Ohio. Interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 11539 National Road Southwest, Pataskala, Ohio.
