Sara Elizabeth (Rathgaber) Poling

Sara Elizabeth Poling, born September 27, 1978 ascended to her heavenly Father on August 23, 2021. Preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Rathgaber; grandparents, Pearl and Harry Rathgaber, John and Shirley Morgan; cousins, Rob Payne, William “Bill” Rathgaber, Jr. and her beloved aunt Sue Petersen.

Sara is survived by her mother, Christie Rathgaber; brother, Erich (Morgan) Rathgaber; nephew, Gunner Rathgaber and numerous cousins.

Sara was an adventerous individualist who loved her pets and family deeply. She savored every minute of her life, gymnastics, skydiving, alligator hunting and best of all fishing. Some of her happiest times were while serving with the Pickerington Fire Department and her life in New Orleans. She took love and pride in working at Licking Memorial Hospital in the E.R. Department where she was employed for the past year. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Life Center in Pickerington, OH. Sara loved her Jesus deeply and would willingly and openly discuss her faith with anyone.

Sara’s family will receive friends on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 2 to 4:00pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH, as well as Friday, August 27, 2021 one hour prior to her funeral service held at Cotner Funeral Home at 10:30am with Pastor Jeff Smalley officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery, 15550 Elm Rock Rd., Nelsonville, OH 45764 Friday, August 27, at 1:00pm.
