Sarah Ann Shultz

Sarah Ann Shultz of Reynoldsburg, OH, died unexpectedly on February 15, 2021 at the age of 70. Sarah is survived by her husband, James ‘Jim’ Shultz; her daughter LeAnna Rupa; Sisters, Susie (Mark) Lindenmuth, Sondra McGraw; Brothers, William ‘Bill’ (Carol) Martin, Paul (Karen) Martin; Granddaughters, April-Mae McFarland and Sophia Segraves; Grandson, AJ Hanshaw; Great-grandson, Bryson-Lee McFarland.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William A. Martin and Thelma Ewing; Sister, Sharon Clark; and Son, Roger Lee Hanshaw. Sarah was born in Charleston, WV on August 16, 1950 and found James after moving to Columbus, OH. As well as living a full life with him, and taking care of James through his health issues Sarah was a devoted Jehovah's Witness.  She enjoyed taking walks and soaking in nature. She loved being creative and restoring or reusing everyday items as well as arranging flowers that she would find along her walks. She loved dogs and would often bring in strays to find homes for them. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone and everyone she encountered. She loved telling stories of her past and about wonderful West Virginia. Sarah was one of the strongest women you would have ever met and was able to overcome many hardships. Despite those hardships, she was kind and caring to everyone.  She will be missed by all that knew her.

Sarah’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 where her funeral service will be held at 5:00pm with Brother James Rieser officiating. Private inurnment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
