Shirley Josephine Endicott went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 25, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born in Huntington, West Virginia, Shirley relocated to Columbus, Ohio as a young girl, where she would grow roots that lasted a lifetime. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a women of strong faith. Her love for Jesus guided every part of her life and was reflected in the way she treated others—with gentleness, compassion, and a radiant smile that could light up any room. Her presence was a steady comfort, her hugs a safe haven, and her words often just what was needed.
On May 28, 1966, she married Willis Endicott, and together they shared 43 years of marriage until his passing in 2009. Their love was steady, faithful, and an example of commitment, grace, and partnership. Shirley was a member of World Harvest Church, where she worshiped and served faithfully for many years.
She took great pride in her work and especially loved her time working in the mail room at World Harvest Church, where she worked until her retirement.
She was the beloved mother of Becky Endicott, Diana (Shawn) Rausch, Mike Endicott, Mark (Vicki Waugh) Endicott, and Danny Endicott. Her family was her greatest joy. She adored her grandchildren: Christopher (Brittany) Endicott, Chelsie (Caleb) Wharton, Taylor (Spencer) McPherson, Jake (Skylar Robinson) Walker, Glenn Thivener, Robyn (Zachary) Reyna, Reagan (Michaela Hicks) Rausch, Kennedy (Kali Flora) Henney, David (Shirleeah Pasco) Rausch, Jonathan Rausch and Shannon Gostel. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Jasper (Clayton) Hawley, Mackenzie, Ella, Kaylee, Owen, and Aleksander and great-great granddaughter Freya.
Shirley’s legacy is one of unwavering faith, family devotion, and a heart that loved deeply. Her love, smile, and gentle spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though we grieve her passing, we rejoice in knowing she is now in the presence of the Lord she so faithfully followed with kindness, humility, and joy.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 29 from 5 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, also, on Wednesday, April 30 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at World Harvest Church, 4595 Gender Road, where her service will follow at noon with Pastor Rod Parsley officiating.
