Stephan “Steve” Lewis Kantor, of Whitehall, passed away October 28, 2023, with his family by his side at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Steve was born May 4, 1951, in Nelsonville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beryl “Pat” and step-father, Willis “Wally” Cisco, his father Albert Kantor, mother-in-law and father-in-law Margaret and Frederick Wallace, sister-in-law Karen Foster, nephew Shane, and niece Brandy.
Steve is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beverly Kantor, his three sons, Stephan, Todd, and Chris (Denise), and daughter, Stacey (Chris) Seifert, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, his sister Melodie Haynes (Bill Costlow), brother Wesley, brother-in-law Tom Foster, sister-in-law Debra (Michael) Minkos, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Steve was a graduate of Whitehall Yearling H.S. and worked for many decades as a meat cutter with local markets. He loved sports, particularly golf, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Browns. Steve enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golf, boating, gardening, cooking, learning about history, traveling the country, and spending time with family.
Memorial and Internment, 10:00 am Monday, November 13, 2023, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio.
