Stephen “Steve” Douglas Harris, aged 76, passed away peacefully in his home in Grove City, Ohio on July 13, 2024. He was born on April 13, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio to Sarah and Harold Harris. Steve was a proud graduate of the OSU College of Pharmacy in 1971. He served as a pharmacist in the Greater Columbus area for over fifty years. Steve lived an incredible life, filled with many fantastic and rich memories. He was an avid reader, a beautiful singer, and loved baseball (especially the Cincinnati Reds). He was a man of great faith who found joy in spreading the word of God to his family and friends. Steve celebrated 33 years of sobriety through the grace of God and AA.
Steve is survived by his wife, Lonnie Harris; daughters Bambi (Adam) Estep, Tiffany (Anthony) Gerling, and Cory Harris; twelve grandchildren Zane (Anjelica), Zoe, Carson, Vania, Lily, Eli, Kylah, Leia, Charli, Josie, Desmond, and Betty. He is preceded in death by his son, Isiah Harris.
Steve was a good man who left immense footprints of love and kindness on the hearts of those who knew him. He gave his heart to his friends and family. His legacy will continue to live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends. His goodness will forever live in our hearts. A private memorial service will be held for Steve by his family at Oak Grove Cemetery in Georgesville, Ohio. His family asks for your continued prayers and support during this time.
