Sylvia L Zagar

Sylvia Lynne (Thompson) Zagar was granted her angel wings on January 5, 2022.  Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.

Sylvia was born on December 3, 1944, in West Virginia to the late Homer Dale Thompson and Helen Louise Sypher. Sylvia was married 54 years to her loving husband, Joseph Patrick Zagar, who passed back in 2020. Sylvia is survived by her sister, Linda Strauss; sister-in-law, Jean Cigana; brother-in-law, John Zagar; and many nieces and nephews. Sylvia was blessed with many friends, several whom she met while working at JCPenney’s Outlet. Sylvia loved Elvis Presley, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and playing cards with family and friends. Sylvia was also a breast cancer survivor.

The Zagar family would like to thank the staff of Mt. Carmel East hospital for all of their gracious care. Sylvia’s family will receive friends on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 11am-1pm at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main St., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068, where her funeral service will be held at 1pm. Interment Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
