Timothy J. Trusken, age 68, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away September 22, 2023 from pancreatic cancer. Timothy was born in Cleveland, Ohio, May 18, 1955. Timothy was proud to be the family and neighborhood handyman. His eldest daughter, even at only 3 years old, saw a crash in the newspaper and said "Daddy can fix." He could do it all, performing maintenance and remodels for cars, bathrooms, hot water heaters, and more. He also enjoyed keeping up with new technology, being one of the first on the block to get a camcorder, personal computer, an app-driven color-changing Christmas tree, and he loved to share what he had learned. Timothy spent the first 30 years of his career working for Value City/Shonac/DSW. He then pivoted to a second career as a welder at TS Tech.
Timothy was known for his impish sense of humor, including spreading false toupee rumors, or pretending to have a second family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Denise (Schrimpf), who knew they were meant to be after they spent their first date arguing in the backseat of a car. He is also survived by daughters Melissa Trusken, Christine (Ramsey) Bronyah, and Kimberly Trusken; his treasured granddaughters Kaia and Piper; and his sister Nancy (Dennis) Bethardy. He is preceded in death by his parents Philip and Rita and his sister Susie (Bob) D'Andrea.
There will be a viewing Thursday evening, September 28 at Cotner Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, Ohio from 5pm to 8pm.
The Catholic rite of burial mass will be performed Friday September 29 at 10:30 am at St. Pius X in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
