Vada Ash

Vada Belle Ash, age 96, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022. She retired from Maybelline, then went on to work until she was 85 as a greeter for Meijer. She loved her family, people from all over and never knew a stranger. She was known and loved by many. Vada is preceded in death by her parents Walter L. McQuirt and Edith Holycross, 8 brothers Ernest, Clarence, Gerald, Karl, Harold, Donald, Robert, and Richard, and sisters Gertie and Bessie. She is survived by children Uanna “Sue” Barr, John (Virginia) Ash, Jr., Vada (Robin) Adams, and Dustin (Sheri) Ash; she also raised Richard (Joan) McQuirt, Johnnie (Roni) McQuirt, Gene (Melanie) McQuirt, Sonia (Bill) Fitch, and countless others; she also has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her family will receive friends Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where her service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Deer Creek Cemetery, London, Ohio.
