Wade Errin Silvey

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Wade Errin Silvey, who left this world peacefully on June 10, 2026.  Wade was loving husband, brother and a friend to many.  He was born on January 25, 1961, to his cherished parents, Larry and Larue Silvey.

Wade was a man who embodied a zest for life, never afraid to embrace the wild side and always ready with a captivating story or a joke.  He had a somewhat larger than life personality.  He touched the lives of those he cared about with his humor and warmth, leaving a lasting impression that will be cherished forever.

A graduate of Dixie High School, Wade pursued his passion for welding, mastering various techniques with high marks.  Unfortunately, the many years of bending down to weld took its toll on his knees which caused him discomfort for his remaining days.

Wade's heart belonged to his beloved wife Lora, who preceded him.  Together they shared a mutual love for Harley Davidson motorcycles, embarking on countless adventures and joining rides with their friends.  The memories of their rides will forever echo the joy and freedom they felt on the open road.

In addition to his passion for Harley riding, Wade was also an avid poker player, whether online or in person.  He enjoyed the game immensely.  He looked forward to the yearly poker games held at his uncle's house.  Wade also enjoyed the occasional sip of moonshine, savoring the spirit of life in every sense.  A later hobby he fostered was gardening.  While his little plot was not large, it did bring him joy, tending to it in his later years when his mobility was decreased.

Wade was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Grove City, where he found a small community of friends.  He treasured the moments and the bonds he formed with these friends over the years.  One of his friends from the Elks recently introduced herself as Wade's future ex-wife.  That brought laughter to the room as she sat next to his bed in the hospice house.

Wade is survived by his brother Jeff (Ann) Silvey of Phoenix, Arizona, Craig (Sandra) Silvey of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Rod Silvey of Phoenix, Arizona.  He also leaves behind his Uncle John Williams and his family who were dear to his heart.

A private grave side ceremony will be held in Wade's honor on June 19, 2026, at 1:00 pm.  The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at OhioHealth Hospice House for their exceptional care provided to Wade during his final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to honor Wade do so by sharing a story, a laugh or a Harley ride in his memory.  Wade's spirit will forever ride alongside us in the wind
