William Stanley Andrews, age 85, of Reynoldsburg passed away on Thursday November 16, 2023 after battling a long illness at home. Born July 30, 1938 in Canton to the late Joseph and Julia Andrews (Obester). William graduated from Canton South High School in 1956 and went on to graduate from the OSU engineering program in 1963. He worked for North American Rockwell for 20 years designing aircraft and then fulfilled his dream of working for NASA to complete his retirement. Bill had a pivotal role working on the space shuttle and was respected by his peers. There is a bench dedicated to him at the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum for his contributions to the aeronautical program. He later went on to contract for Snow Aviation for several years after his retirement. He also enjoyed being a DJ with his wife Janice for over 20 years. Bill had a profound love of softball, golf and his family. He was a generous and kind hearted soul who knew how to fix anything and was loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Loretta Burke; son-in-law William Snoeberger. Bill will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Janice Andrews.; sisters Lillian (Bill) Hickman and Elizabeth (Dick) Schnegg; children Christina (Max Underwood) Andrews, Julie Snoeberger, Kathy (Dennis Fuller) Andrews, and Rita (Scott) Duthie; grandchildren Ryan Duthie, Stephanie (Skyler) Snoeberger, Rachel Duthie, and Jake (Victoria) Snoeberger; step-sons Chris (Karla) Cobel and Chad (Elizabeth) Cobel; step-grandchildren Matthew, Katie, and Joey; and over the years many great friends and neighbors. His family will receive friends on Saturday, December 9, from 12-2pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, with his memorial service to begin at 2pm.
